Minimum technical requirements for connections to the grid of
transpower stromübertragungs gmbh
As the transmission grid operator, transpower is responsible in the related control area for the erection, operation and maintenance of its grid. To make sure that reliable grid operation is not compromised, all grid subscribers must meet minimum requirements with their plants. According to the Energy Economy Act, they must be published in the Internet.
The minimum requirements for the transpower grid on land are described in the "Grid connection regulations, maximum voltage" (Last version: 1.04.2009). The "Requirements for offshore connections to the transpower network" applies to grid connections for offshore plants (Last version: 1.04.2009).
The current body of rules and regulations dated 1.08.2003 had to be updated in 2006 to meet the needs of the changed use of the transmission system today and in the future as well.
Along with the founding of transpower stromübertragungs gmbh (spin-off of the separable part of business operations of E.ON Netz GmbH), the grid connection regulations were reduced to the relevant requirements for connecting to the maximum voltage grid and the content was amended accordingly.
To operate grid connections, there must be at least one grid connection contract between the subscriber and transpower, which may contain additional requirements depending on the specific connection situation. Among other things, the grid connection contract contains a precise technical description of the grid connection. The grid connection regulations and any applicable requirements for offshore grid connections are part of the grid connection contract.
